主讲人：Dr. Jane E. Barnes
This seminar will be a discussion of negotiation fundamentals with a focus on negotiating a salary. Topics will include:
• An overview of the negotiation process
• Dos and don’ts of negotiating
• Cultural issues
• Preparation before negotiations begin
• Determining your BATNA (Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement)
A role play involving an employer and potential employee will be conducted.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Jane E. Barnes is a professor emeritus of Meredith College, where she taught management and leadership courses for 14 years. Dr. Barnes received several awards for teaching and service during her tenure and is the recipient of a national award for her research. Prior to Meredith, Dr. Barnes worked at AT&T for 20 years in the finance and operations departments where she supervised over 400 people and managed an $8 billion capital budget. She is currently working on a book on women and leadership. Dr. Barnes holds a BS in mathematics from Ohio University, an MBA from Cleveland State, and an MS, JD and PhD from Rutgers University.
